Hier een schitterend artikel over een vereniging die ik persoonlijk niet kan luchten :
De vijfde speeldag van de eerste klasse B gaat vrijdagavond van start met een topper tussen Royal Antwerp FC en Lierse SK. Voor Fred Vanderbiest, hoofdcoach van de Great Old, en Chris Janssens, assistent-trainer bij de Pallieters, een speciaal duel. Het duo werkte in het verleden immers succesvol samen bij KV Oostende en vorig seizoen nog bij Cercle Brugge.
Maar aan de Vereniging behouden ze geen goede herinneringen. "Eigenlijk is die club het triestigste wat ik ooit heb meegemaakt. Van beleving, organisatie. Fred moest daar alles zelf regelen, hé. Hij moest de bus inleggen, broodjes bestellen, de traiteur regelen, water aankopen, tape bestellen", getuigt Janssens in Het Nieuwsblad.
En blijkbaar werden ook de facturen niet op tijd betaald. "Dan krijg je elke ochtend mails van: de bakker is niet betaald, de buschauffeur wil niet meer rijden, ... . Hoe kan je nu zo werken als trainer? Ik ben blij dat het daar voorbij is."
